Political Action Day & MLA Dinner is an excellent opportunity to meet one-on-one with key government leaders. The full day consists of educational sessions and keynote presentations from knowledgeable and respected experts on current and emerging issues facing the province. This event provides an opportunity for chambers of commerce and business leaders from across Alberta to connect with elected Members of the Legislative Assembly to discuss the current economic climate and solutions to advance the business community’s interests.

Both the day and evening activities are geared to facilitate engagement with elected officials on pressing issues in our province. Daytime activities include education sessions on current and emerging issues from private and public sector experts and a luncheon with the leader of the official opposition. In the evening, the MLA reception and dinner offer an opportunity to network and dine with members of the provincial government caucus.

Attendees are encouraged to be active during the Q&A session following dinner and to directly ask questions of elected government officials in attendance.

Attendees: Government of Alberta MLAs, Government of Alberta Chief of Staff, local government officials, senior business leaders and community chamber of commerce executives.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Why is there a limit of 2 ticket requests per organization at a MLA table?
The MLA Dinner is first and foremost a government-access event. The 2-ticket limit ensures that a variety of organizations can participate in meaningful dialogue with MLAs, rather than one group filling a full table. This creates a balanced and engaging experience for everyone involved.

  2. Can we still bring more than two representatives from our organization?
Yes. You may purchase additional tickets for your team, which include full access to the event. However, each organization is limited to 2 seats at any one MLA table. If more than 2 tickets are requested for the same MLA, only the first 2 will be considered for MLA seating and the remaining tickets will be reassigned to another MLA or as General Admission.

  3. How are MLA assigned to tables?
During registration, attendees will be asked to select their top three MLA preferences. Seating assignments are made based on registration order and availability, with priority given first to ACC Partners and then to ACC Members. While we will do our best to accommodate one of the selected preferences, we cannot guarantee seating with a specific MLA.
