About the Speakers

Scott Cameron is the President & CEO of bassa Social Innovations and co-founder of Emergency Management Logistics Canada (EMLCanada.ca), a platform that connects emergency managers, businesses, and community groups to strengthen local preparedness. With a background in sustainable community development, Scott brings a collaborative, asset-based approach to building resilience. He lives in Calgary and holds a Master’s degree from Royal Roads University.

Byron Geddes is the Executive Director of the Stettler Regional Board of Trade and Community Development.  He has lived in Stettler for over fifty years with business experience in Oilfield, Banking, Cinema, and the Golf industry.  He has been the ED in Stettler for 4 years and has experience in Fire and Ambulance.  Byron is a firm believer in a team-based approach to Emergency Management.
