Ozzie Sawicki, M.Sc., ChPC, GISP

Leadership roles continued as head coach of the Canadian Para-Athletics team, and performance advisor to both the Canadian Para-Equestrian and Olympic 3-day Eventing Equestrian teams. His leadership extended to the position of Team Canada’s Chef de Mission for the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, where Canada exceeded performance goals.
Beyond coaching, Ozzie’s leadership in Paralympic sport has seen him serve in roles including International Paralympic Committee Head of Technical Control and Officiating — World Para Alpine Skiing, and as a Board member with the Canadian Paralympic Committee. An international Ski Federation Alpine Skiing Technical Delegate, Ozzie has been a lead official in both the Para and Able-bodied alpine skiing community, serving as a lead Para-Alpine official at the 2010 Vancouver, 2018 Pyeong Chang, and 2022 Beijing Paralympic Winter Games.
Ozzie has been inducted into the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame for Coaching in 2017 and the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame as a Paralympic Builder in 2024, both testaments to his impact on the world of sports and accessibility.
An internationally recognized professional speaker and member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), Ozzie has taken his message of accessibility, inclusion, leadership, and establishing performance cultures in organizations to groups throughout North America, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Ozzie also has four decades of industry and academic experience in the resource, technology, information, space, and defense sectors as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), subject matter expert, innovator, and project lead. Ozzie is the President and CEO of CoachAbility (Pozitive Results Sport Strategies Inc.), and Founder and CEO of Para Sport International (PSI) Inc., an international high-performance expert group based in the greater Calgary metropolitan area.
Deeply involved in his community, Ozzie’s most recent volunteer role as President of the Cochrane and Area Chamber of Commerce, reflects an ongoing commitment to others.

For-profit and Non-profit businesses and organizations will receive follow-up support through CoachAbility to ensure that the change process presented over the three days of training can be shown to take effect.
