Elder Marcel Paul and Marcel Arcand, shared their deep-rooted cultural teachings and rich history. Their mission is clear: to foster the recognition and respect of Sacred Treaties at every level of government and within our institutions.
In Recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
In a spirit of unity and collaboration, Marcel Arcand shared an update on an exciting initiative – an Indigenous Framework. This framework is not just a concept; it’s a starting point for building a brighter economic future, hand in hand with our diverse Nations. We’re coming together following the recent adoption of the United Nations Declarations on the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP) and the meaningful implementation of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s 94 Calls to Action.
At this event, compassion and understanding were our guiding lights. We aimed to create an atmosphere of togetherness, where we listened, learned, and uplifted one another. It’s about recognizing the importance of culture, history, and reconciliation, and the pivotal role they play in shaping the future of our shared community.
Thank you to everyone who attended, including community chambers, SMEs, government representatives, and our valued large organizations. We all come together to be a part of this compassionate journey – a journey toward greater access, influence, stability, and success. Your presence helped us achieve clarity and foster a sense of community, all while amplifying your status by association with a cause that truly matters.
We not only honoured the past but also set the stage for a more harmonious and prosperous future for everyone. Together, we can make a difference.
